It is free to enter, open to anyone from age 8 upwards and will run until July 2013. Winners from each category will have their postcard designed professionally and will receive 100 copies of it for their own use. Winners will also receive a full set of printed postcards from our celebrity contributors and from other category winners.
Age ranges are:
Entries will be a short postcard (no more than 200 words) as though written by a character (real or imaginary – it could be yourself) from a specific year in history. The postcard can be written to a specific person or just to a generic 'reader'. Postcards can be written in any style or genre. Illustrations can be included – we won't judge these but, if your postcard is selected as a winner, we may use your illustration in the design.
